 On Willow Glen's side,  Alanna Clincy was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She  struck out seven batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   five  hits. Clincy has been consistent recently: she hasn't  pitched less than six  innings in three consecutive pitching appearances. Clincy was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with two  RBI and a  double.
 Clincy wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Catalina Medina, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
 Branham's loss dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Willow Glen, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 13 of their last 15 games,  which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record  this season.
 Branham will be playing in front of their home fans against Leigh at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Branham's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1  runs per game  this season, so Leigh's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Willow Glen, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Leland at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday.
