Brophy College Prep had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-15, 25-23, 25-22.
Among those leading the charge was Jude Keane, who had eight digs and three aces. That's the most aces he has posted since back in April of 2024.
They weren't the only good server: Brophy College Prep was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Sunnyslope got the win against Mesa on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0.
Sunnyslope not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Mesa between 18 and 20 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-20, 25-18.
Sunnyslope found their leader in sophomore Nathan Brown, who had 13 digs and one assist. Brown is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 13 or more in each of the last four games he's played.
Sunnyslope is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for Brophy College Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 25-10.
