Elwood scored the most points they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 79-63 bruising from the Tri-Central Trojans. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.

Despite the loss, Elwood still got an impressive performance from Jayden Mullins, who went 5 of 9 to rack up 15 points in addition to seven assists and four steals. The dominant performance gave Mullins a new career-high in assists. Corbin leavell was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

Elwood is on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13. As for Tri-Central, their victory bumped their record up to 8-10.

Looking ahead, Elwood will venture away from home to square off against GEO Next Generation at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Elwood is facing GEO Next Generation at the right time seeing as GEO Next Generation is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Tri-Central, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Taylor at 7:30 p.m.
