While The Linsly School's victory against Brooke wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cadets had just enough and edged out the Bruins 12-10. Winning may never get old, but the Cadets sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Dominic Fato was incredible, going 4-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyga Goto, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
The Linsly School always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .537. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Brooke only posted an OBP of .351.
The Linsly School's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Brooke, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-6.
Looking ahead, The Linsly School will take on Shadyside at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brooke, they will challenge Buckeye Local at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
