Basketball Game Preview: Tom Bean Tomcats vs. Texoma Christian Eagles

The Tom Bean Tomcats and the Texoma Christian Eagles will face off at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Both are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Texoma Christian is hoping to do what Trinity Christian Academy couldn't on Friday: put an end to Tom Bean's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Tom Bean took their match with ease, bagging a 57-30 victory over Trinity Christian Academy. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Tomcats have posted since November 26th.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tom Bean to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sam Lind, who posted 11 points in addition to six boards and five steals. Lind has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Camryn Ives, who went 6 for 11 on her way to 13 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

Tom Bean smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in five consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Texoma Christian). They blew past Trinity Christian Academy, posting a 52-23 victory.

Tom Bean's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Texoma Christian, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Tom Bean came up short against Texoma Christian when the teams last played back in December of 2018, falling 57-51. Can Tom Bean avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
