The Eagle Ridge Christian Eagles lost against the Westwood Baptist Academy Eagles last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Eagle Ridge Christian was beaten by Westwood Baptist Academy 43-13. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Eagle Ridge Christian has scored all season.
Katie Gross was her usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with six rebounds for Westwood Baptist Academy. That makes it 14 consecutive games in which Gross has scored at least a third of Westwood Baptist Academy's points. Sydney Hawley was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with three steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Eagle Ridge Christian and nudges their season record down to 5-9. As for Westwood Baptist Academy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-3.
Eagle Ridge Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Westwood Baptist Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Mississippi Valley Christian at 3:30 p.m. on February 10th. Mississippi Valley Christian will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Westwood Baptist Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
