Riverside made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Greenville, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Hornets on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won 14 matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Riverside is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Greenville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.
