Fitzgerald is staying on the road on Friday, facing off against Callaway. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown.
Fitzgerald earned some postseason bragging rights after a successful outing last week. They had enough points to win and then some against Bleckley County, taking their matchup 30-12.
Meanwhile, Callaway entered their game last Friday as the heavy favorite, and they fully lived up to expectations. They put a hurting on Chattooga to the tune of 54-7. The team ran away with 47 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those in the second to pick up the victory.
Their wins bumped the Purple Hurricane to 8-3 and the Cavaliers to 10-1. We'll see which team can carry over their success and which team inevitably falls when the Purple Hurricane and Callaway clash.
