Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Notus). They blew past the Horseshoe Bend Mustangs 65-36 on Friday. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-12.

Notus' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Luis Vargas, who went 5 of 10 en route to 11 points. Another player making a difference was Dehaven Wilson, who posted eight points along with nine boards and three steals.

Notus pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Horseshoe Bend, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Notus will venture away from home to challenge Adrian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Horseshoe Bend, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Riverstone International at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Riverstone International will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Horseshoe Bend surely won't give up without a fight.
