Franklin Pierce is 1-9 against Fife since April of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Cardinals will be playing at home against the Trojans at 4:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.
Fife will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Franklin Pierce extended their winning streak to four on Wednesday. The Cardinals put the hurt on Clover Park with a sharp 9-1 victory. The Cardinals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.

Elijah Sledge and Lucas Larson did most of the damage at the plate: Sledge scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3, while Larson scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Sledge is becoming a predictor of Franklin Pierce's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 1-3 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Dustin Wallace, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Franklin Pierce always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fife). They were the clear victors by a 16-6 margin over Eatonville on Tuesday. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Cruisers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
Miles Ducharme was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, Dylan Hoots was incredible, scoring five runs and stealing two bases while going 4-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Carter Christiansen was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.
Fife pushed their record up to 7-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Franklin Pierce, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Franklin Pierce hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .361. However, it's not like Fife struggles in that department as they've averaged .336. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
