After each having a week off, The Fairfield Prep Jesuits and the Hamden Green Dragons will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 6:00 p.m. on October 27th. Fairfield Prep comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
Fairfield Prep's 9-4 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They were the victim of a tough 28-7 defeat at the hands of Shelton on Friday.
Jack Davis put forth a good effort for the losing side as he gained 95 total yards and a touchdown. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 50 yards.
Meanwhile, Hamden fell victim to Cheshire's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were dealt a 41-0 loss at the hands of the Rams. Hamden has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Fairfield Prep's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 0-6. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely Shelton, Cheshire, and Hand. Hamden has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.
Fairfield Prep lost to Hamden at home by a decisive 42-27 margin when the teams last played back in September of 2022. Will Fairfield Prep have more luck at home instead of on the road?
