If The Bacon Academy Bobcats were feeling good off their 61-0 takedown of the Montville Wolves last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Bacon Academy was beaten by Ledyard 43-7 on Saturday. Having soared to a lofty 61 points in the game before, Bacon Academy couldn't push the score so high this time.
Anthony Adamick went supernova for Ledyard, rushing for 293 yards while picking up 8.4 yards per carry. Jamel Kearse was another key contributor, rushing for 98 yards.
Bacon Academy now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Ledyard, their win bumped their record up to an identical 3-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bacon Academy will challenge Norwich Free Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Norwich Free Academy is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. As for Ledyard, they will head out on the road to face off against Killingly at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
