The Scott Eagles posted their biggest victory since December 7, 2023 on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Calvary Christian 74-36 on the road. Given Scott's advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while Calvary Christian is ranked 264th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Scott was led to victory by Dylan Giffen and Connor Griffin. Giffen scored 16 points, while Griffin scored 18 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jon Evans, who scored seven points.
The victory got Scott back to even at 9-9. As for Calvary Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Scott will take on Bishop Brossart at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bishop Brossart is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak. As for Calvary Christian, they will be playing at home against Dayton at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Dayton is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
