Despite the loss, Cody-Kilgore still got an impressive performance from Greyson Hollopeter, who rushed for 65 yards and one score. Hollopeter got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 56 yards.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Stuart to victory, but perhaps none more so than Austin Connot, who rushed for 112 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. Those 112 rushing yards gave Connot a new career-high. Owen Littau helped out on the ground, rushing for 84 yards and two rushing touchdowns.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cody-Kilgore will venture away from home to face off against Garden County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Stuart, they will head out to take on Sumner-Eddyville-Miller at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
