South Holt/Nodaway-Holt had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They were given a punishing 28-74 loss at the hands of Worth County/Northeast Nodaway. If South Holt/Nodaway-Holt were expecting payback for the 6-56 loss against Worth County/Northeast Nodaway the last time the teams met, then they were shortchanged. This was the first contest for both squads, starting South Holt/Nodaway-Holt off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Worth County/Northeast Nodaway a 1-0 record.
Next week, South Holt/Nodaway-Holt take on Southwest/Hale/Tina-Avalon at 7:00 PM. As for Worth County/Northeast Nodaway, they will face of against Bedford.
