With a playoff win on the line, Pope John Paul II rose to the challenge on Monday. They beat the Upper Merion Area Vikings by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 8-2. The result was nothing new for Pope John Paul II, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Carson Glose made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed six innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Glose was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tyler Tindall, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April.

Pope John Paul II has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Upper Merion Area, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-9.
