While Ellet's victory against Independence wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Orangemen sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Blue Devils on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Orangemen sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
Rylie Sprouse spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
