The Wolfson Wolfpack will face off against the Parker Braves at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Wolfson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
Wolfson's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They came out on top against Stanton by a score of 4-0. The Wolfpack haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
The result came thanks to Caleb Camden's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up 11 Ks. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024.
On the hitting side, Samuel Sprague was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Fischer, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Parker). They put the hurt on Cedar Creek Christian with a sharp 15-0 win on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for the Braves as they're now sitting on three straight.
The team relied heavily on Marcus Johnson, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. DaSean Lovelace was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-3.
Parker was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .526. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Parker's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Wolfson, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 4-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Wolfson has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Parker struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Wolfson's way against Parker in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Wolfson made off with an 11-1 win. Will Wolfson repeat their success, or does Parker have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
