Brooks dropped down to 7-10 on Saturday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Mars Hill Bible Panthers by a score of 3-2. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Lions couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Mars Hill Bible, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games.

For Mars Hill Bible's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brie Robertson, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Coming up, Brooks will host Russellville at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Mars Hill Bible, they will be playing at home against Oakman at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.67 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
