The Webber Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Thursday after their 19th straight loss. They took a hard  39-22 fall against Sesser-Valier/Waltonville. Webber lost against Sesser-Valier/Waltonville in their previous head to head  back in December of 2016, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the  81-25 score last time.
 Despite the  loss, Webber saw an underclassman step up:  Chloe King  scored 14 points along with four  steals. That was a full 63.6% of Webber's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's  earned more than a third of the team's points.  Shayla Brumley was another key contributor,  scoring four points along with seven  rebounds.
 Webber's loss dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Sesser-Valier/Waltonville, their win bumped their record up to 8-12.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Webber will take on Woodlawn at 6:15  p.m.  on Thursday. Woodlawn presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Webber in Illinois (Woodlawn is ranked 268th, while Webber is ranked 657th). As for Sesser-Valier/Waltonville, they will be playing at home against Johnston City at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
