The Caprock Academy Eagles's three-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They walked away with a 51-39 win over Soroco. That's another feather in the cap for Caprock Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Reed Struwe was the offensive standout of the matchup as he dropped a double-double on 19 points and 18 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Zach Jordan was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Caprock Academy's victory ended a ten-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-8. As for Soroco, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Caprock Academy on the road again on Tuesday and play against Plateau Valley at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Plateau Valley is coming into the match hot, having won their last nine games. As for Soroco, they will head out on the road to take on West Grand at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
