The Wishkah Valley Loggers lost against the Crescent Loggers back in December of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Wishkah Valley took a serious blow against Crescent, falling 69-12. Wishkah Valley was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-4.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Crescent to victory, but perhaps none more so than Naomii Spraque, who scored 20 points along with six steals. The match was Spraque's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ciara Cargo-Acosta, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Wishkah Valley bumped their record down to 0-2 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Crescent, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wishkah Valley will challenge Northwest Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Crescent won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Ocosta at 5:30 p.m. on December 15th. Hopefully Ocosta focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday.
