Nova Classical Academy had lost six games straight , but after bumping their record up to 3-7 on Wednesday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top against the St. Croix Lutheran Crusaders by a score of 8-3. With that victory, the Knights brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

James Williams made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Nova Classical Academy is 2-1 when Williams posts two or more runs, but 1-6 otherwise.
In other batting news, Preston Karelitz was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. Will Choi was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Nova Classical Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Croix Lutheran only posted a batting average of .231.
As for St. Croix Lutheran, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-7. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly five runs.
On St. Croix Lutheran's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaac Garcia, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nova Classical Academy will venture away from home to take on St. Croix Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Croix Lutheran, they will take on Liberty Classical Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
