After five games on the road, Denver Academy of Torah is heading back home. They will take on the Vanguard Classical East Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Vanguard Classical East took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Denver Academy of Torah, who comes in off a win.
Last Thursday, Denver Academy of Torah didn't have too much trouble with Mile High Academy on the road as they won 43-28. The victory was just what Denver Academy of Torah needed coming off of a 68-46 loss in their prior matchup.
Denver Academy of Torah's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Shmuely Brackman, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds, and Yosef Miller, who scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Miller has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Vanguard Classical East's recent rough patch got a bit rougher back in November of 2023 after their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a rough 59-22 loss at the hands of Mile High Academy.
The victory got Denver Academy of Torah back to even at 3-3. As for Vanguard Classical East, their loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-1.
Everything came up roses for Denver Academy of Torah against Vanguard Classical East in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 58-30 victory. With Denver Academy of Torah ahead 34-12 at the half, the game was all but over already.
