There's no place like home for the Max S. Hayes Lakers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against East Tech by a score of 39-28 on Tuesday. That's another feather in the cap for Max S. Hayes, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Max S. Hayes was led to victory by Annalysh Caraballo and Nevaeh Williams. Caraballo scored 12 points, while Williams scored 14 points.
East Tech's loss came despite strong showings from Nadia Pamplin and Shukuru Kalenga. Pamplin scored 14 points, while Kalenga scored nine points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pamplin has scored all season.
Max S. Hayes' win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for East Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-12.
Max S. Hayes will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Tallmadge at 7:00 p.m. on February 21st. As for East Tech, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Maple Heights at 5:00 p.m. Hopefully Maple Heights focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Monday.
