The Berean Christian Bulldogs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They really took it to Benjamin for the full four quarters, racking up a 57-26 victory on the road. The victory was just what Berean Christian needed coming off of a 66-39 loss in their prior matchup.
Berean Christian found their leader in underclassman Dylande Innocent, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Yemeli Tavarez, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds.
Berean Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Benjamin, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berean Christian and Trinity Christian Academy will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Benjamin won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Cardinal Newman at 6:00 p.m. on December 13th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Cardinal Newman is ranked 360th, while Benjamin is ranked 340th).
