Birch Run has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on The Swan Valley Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Michigan (Birch Run is ranked 201st, while Swan Valley is ranked 189th).
Last Friday, Birch Run came up short against Millington and fell 18-9.
Meanwhile, Swan Valley unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 21-13 to Bullock Creek.
Despite their defeat, Swan Valley saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Colton Klein, who threw for 170 yards and two touchdowns, was perhaps the best of all. Cal Delisle was in the mix too, providing Swan Valley with two touchdowns.
The losses dropped both teams to an identical 5-4.
Birch Run came up short against Swan Valley in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 14-10. Can Birch Run avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
