The Washburn Millers will head out on the road to take on the St. Louis Park Orioles at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Washburn is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.6 runs per game this season.
Washburn's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Edison with a sharp 24-0 win. The Millers have beaten the Tommies the last eight times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Tommies has come to flipping the script.
Ellerie Ulfers was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over four innings pitched. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.

St. Louis Park's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Washburn has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.6 hits per game. Washburn skirted past St. Louis Park 9-7 in their previous matchup back in May of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Millers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
