The Denver Waldorf Spartans will venture away from home to take on the Mile High Academy Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither of these teams found much success offensively their last time out, scoring well below their season average.

Maelen Roybal put forth a good effort for the losing side as she posted five steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.
Meanwhile, Mile High Academy had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 24-21 victory over the Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mustangs have posted since February 7, 2024.
Denver Waldorf better focus on containing Addy Dodds and Lia Zachawerus as the pair were huge in Mile High Academy's win. Dodds earned 15 points and five steals, while Zachawerus put up eight steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Dodds has scored at least a third of Mile High Academy's points.
Mile High Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in six consecutive contests.
Mile High Academy picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 5-2. As for Denver Waldorf, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Denver Waldorf has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 29.9 boards per game. However, it's not like Mile High Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 32.3 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Denver Waldorf came up short against Mile High Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 42-31. Can Denver Waldorf avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
