There's no place like home for Hayfield, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms on Monday as they made off with a 15-3 victory. Considering the Vikings have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Hayfield got a great performance from Elaina Masching as she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Masching has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Jenna Christopherson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. Nora Bamlet was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
Hayfield's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-12. As for Blooming Prairie, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-13.
