The Byron Nelson Bobcat's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 61-49 win over Keller Central. Given Byron Nelson's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 134th, while the Chargers are ranked 392nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Keller Central's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryan Larsen, who scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Larsen has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Blair, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Byron Nelson is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record this season. As for Keller Central, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-18.
Byron Nelson will head out on the road to square off against the Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Keller Central, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Fossil Ridge is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
