The Clarksburg Coyotes will head out on the road to face off against the Damascus Hornets at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Clarksburg has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Clarksburg pushed their score all the way to 60 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Walter Johnson by a score of 63-60. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Monday (57), Clarksburg still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Damascus put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They pulled ahead with a 44-43 photo finish over Einstein.
Clarksburg's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Damascus, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Everything came up roses for Clarksburg against Damascus when the teams last played back in January as the squad secured a 77-44 win. Does Clarksburg have another victory up their sleeve, or will Damascus turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
