Bishop Timon-St. Jude hasn't had much luck against St. Francis recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Tigers will host the Red Raiders at 5:00 p.m. Bishop Timon-St. Jude will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Bishop Timon-St. Jude not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since May 6, 2024 (when they won 10-0). Everything went their way against Cheektowaga as they made off with an 11-1 victory.
Brendan Gossling was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Bishop Timon-St. Jude is 5-2 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 3-6 otherwise. Gossling was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Brennan Balen tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

Back at the plate, Ian Wasielewski was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Danny Overdorf was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Bishop Timon-St. Jude always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cheektowaga only posted an OBP of .320.
Meanwhile, St. Francis came up short against Cathedral Prep on Tuesday, falling 8-2. The Red Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
St. Francis saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Suffoletto, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. That stolen base marked the first that Suffoletto has snagged this season.
St. Francis' defeat dropped their record down to 3-11-1. As for Bishop Timon-St. Jude, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
