The Rolesville Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Leesville Road by a score of 62-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Rolesville's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Michael Downing, who scored 14 points, and Life Lynch who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Anthony Roberts, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Rolesville's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Leesville Road, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rolesville will face off against Wake Forest at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Wake Forest is on an eight-game streak of home losses, Rolesville a six-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. As for Leesville Road, they will head out on the road to square off against Sanderson at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Sanderson is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
