It was a good run, but the BigTyme Prep Academy Bears unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 80-61 bruising from Varsity Opponent. BigTyme Prep Academy has not had much luck with the recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Several Bears players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mayen Ayuel, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Noah Dowling, who scored ten points along with two blocks.
BigTyme Prep Academy's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Varsity Opponent, their win bumped their record up to 352-1258-2.
BigTyme Prep Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the at 3:00 p.m. on February 2nd. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Cyrus Shaw and Dailon Minor. As for Varsity Opponent, they will head out on the road to square off against the Dolphins at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Marathon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 last Wednesday.
