The Foothill Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the Arvin Bears at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Foothill is no doubt hoping to put an end to a 13-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Foothill scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 70-68 victory over Del Oro. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Even though Arvin has not done well against the Bulldogs recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Arvin managed a 50-44 victory over the Bulldogs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Arvin.
Foothill's record is now 2-17. Arvin's record now sits at 11-14.
Foothill took their win against the Bears when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 65-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for Foothill since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
