On Saturday, Castle came up short against Zionsville and fell 57-47. Castle has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Allie Caldwell continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Zionsville, dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Caldwell pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Haan, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Castle's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Zionsville, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Castle will take on Carmel at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Zionsville is on the road again on Friday and play against Greensburg at 12:00 p.m. on December 29th. Greensburg is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last eight games.
