The Bakersfield Lions were the 73-68 winner over the Summersville Wildcats when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Bakersfield fell to Summersville 68-62. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Summersville was led to victory by Garrin Greear and Andrew Buschmann. Greear almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine rebounds, while Buschmann shot 4-for-8 from deep and dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 assists. Greear hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for five straight games. Paxton Hunter was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.
Bakersfield's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-8. As for Summersville, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-10.
Bakersfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 80-73 victory vs. Niangua on the 10th. Summersville has also already played their next game, a 75-71 loss against Alton on the 6th.
