St. Marys got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Anna Bennett out in front who scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bennett has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Madelyn Smith, who scored 11 points.
Gilmer County's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-0. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 27.6 points. As for St. Marys, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.
Gilmer County lost to St. Marys on the road by a decisive 61-43 margin in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Gilmer County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
