The Centennial Stars stacked a 12th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Northland 74-27 on the road. The victory was familiar territory for Centennial who now have ten in a row.
Centennial's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kayla Houston led the charge by scoring 28 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Houston hasn't dropped below 15 points for five straight games. Kennedy Houston was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with nine assists and five rebounds.
Centennial pushed their record up to 14-1 with that victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.6 points per game. As for Northland, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Centennial will square off against Linden-McKinley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Linden-McKinley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 619th, while Centennial is ranked 203rd). As for Northland, they will head out on the road to face off against East at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
