The Cape Henry Collegiate Dolphins will venture away from home to square off against the Salem Sundevils at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cape Henry Collegiate is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.3 runs per game this season.
On Tuesday, Cape Henry Collegiate made easy work of Peninsula Catholic and carried off a 14-5 win. The victory continues a trend for the Dolphins in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won seven in a row.

On the hitting side, Cape Henry Collegiate let Leylana Dininny and Maylen Johnson run wild. Dininny earned one RBI, three runs, and two stolen bases, while Johnson went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave Johnson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Annalisa Squatrito, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Salem got themselves on the board against Princess Anne on Tuesday, but Princess Anne never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Cavaliers with a sharp 9-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Sundevils.
The result came thanks to Lauren Burchuk's shutout, as she gave up just five hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Madison Twiford, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Kiera Dindial also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Salem kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Princess Anne only managed seven hits.
Cape Henry Collegiate's record now sits at 9-3. As for Salem, their record is now 5-7.
