The Yavneh Academy Bulldogs typically have all the answers at home, but on Saturday the Faith Academy Flames proved too difficult a challenge. Faith Academy strolled past Yavneh Academy with points to spare, taking the game 62-48. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Faith Academy.
Yavneh Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Darren Sacher, who scored 14 points along with 7 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Joe Schwartz, who scored 15 points.
Faith Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Yavneh Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Faith Academy will be home for the holidays to greet San Marcos HomeSchool at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. San Marcos HomeSchool has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 450 points over their last seven games. As for Yavneh Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Slidell at 8:00 p.m.
