Softball Recap: Trenton Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Trenton won the last time they faced Anderson and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Trojans blew past the Titans 7-1. Considering the Trojans have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Lauryn Holder spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Olivia Soens, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Elizabeth Bettendorf was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Trenton's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 14-10. As for Anderson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trenton will host Mercy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Anderson, they will square off against Dearborn at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
