The Lesterville Bearcats were the 62-31 winner over the Bismarck Indians when they last played one another back in January of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Lesterville took a 57-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bismarck. Lesterville's loss continues an unfortunate trend for the squad, making it three in a row.
Ashley Hawkins continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bismarck, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds. Hawkins hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Brake, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Lesterville has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for Bismarck, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-3.
Lesterville will head out on the road to challenge Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bismarck, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Kingston at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kingston will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 517th, while Bismarck is ranked 192nd).
