The Grandview Eagles lost against the Ste. Genevieve Dragons back in November of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Grandview received a tough blow as they fell 50-33 to Ste. Genevieve. Grandview has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Ste. Genevieve's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chloe Staffen, who scored 14 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Staffen has scored at least 25% of Ste. Genevieve's points. Bri Abt was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 8 rebounds.
Grandview's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Ste. Genevieve, their victory bumped their record up to 1-2.
Grandview will head out on the road to face off against Kingston at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ste. Genevieve, they will be playing at home against Arcadia Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Arcadia Valley presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Ste. Genevieve in Missouri (Arcadia Valley is ranked 109th, while Ste. Genevieve is ranked 235th).
