Ashley is 0-9 against Lumberton since February of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Screaming Eagle will venture away from home to challenge the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. Lumberton took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Ashley, who comes in off a win.
Ashley took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Southwest Onslow 14-13. The high-scoring effort was just what the Screaming Eagle needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Hoggard hit Lumberton with a four-run seventh inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Pirates took a 12-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings. The Pirates have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Jaelyn Hammond led a balanced group of hitters, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Hanna, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Ashley came up short against Lumberton in their previous matchup back in March of 2025, falling 11-7. Can the Screaming Eagle avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
