Basketball Recap: Vision Comes Up Short

Vision lost against Nampa Christian back in January of 2020 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Vision took a hard 46-30 fall against the Nampa Christian Trojans.

Despite the loss, Vision saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Aubrie Parrish dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 boards. The dominant performance gave Parrish a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Raelynn Nickel, who posted eight points and three steals.

Even though they lost, Vision smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in five consecutive matchups.

Vision's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Nampa Christian, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-8.

Vision wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 58-17 victory against Gem State Adventist Academy on the 6th. As for Nampa Christian, they will host New Plymouth at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. New Plymouth will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Nampa Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
