On Thursday, Bruceville-Eddy had to suffer through a rough 87-42 loss at the hands of Hill Country Christian School of Austin. Bruceville-Eddy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 52-28.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ashton Rosas, who scored seven points. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Brown, who scored nine points.
Bruceville-Eddy bumped their record down to 3-7 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Hill Country Christian School of Austin, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Grace Academy the next time they take the court. Bruceville-Eddy will host Grace Academy at 11:45 a.m. on Thursday, while Hill Country Christian School of Austin will head out to face them at 11:45 a.m. on Friday.
