Clare is a perfect 6-0 against Harrison since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Pioneers will host the Hornets at 4:00 p.m. Clare will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
Clare had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 15-run drubbing they dealt Ogemaw Heights on Thursday. The Pioneers put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 16-1 win. Considering the Pioneers have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Dane Alexander made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Ryan Louch was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tustyn Yarger, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Clare kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ogemaw Heights only managed three hits.
Meanwhile, Harrison came up short against St. Louis on Thursday and fell 11-6.
Kaleb Williams made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run. Evan Umphrey was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Clare pushed their record up to 10-4-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Harrison, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.
Harrison's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Clare hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .335. It's a different story for Harrison, though, as they've only averaged .201. Will they be able to contain Clare's hitters?
Clare took their victory against Harrison when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 16-1 score. Will the Pioneers repeat their success, or do the Hornets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
