Harrison extended their winning streak to five on Friday, bumping them up to 5-0. Everything went their way against the Campbell Spartans as they made off with a 45-20 win. The Hoyas might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 25 points or more this season.
Harrison found their leader in sophomore Aiden Watson, who rushed for 63 yards and a pair of TDs on only seven carries, and also threw for 182 yards and two touchdowns while completing 73.9% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Dj Huggins, who gained 143 total yards and a touchdown.
Harrison was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 242 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Campbell only rushed for 137.
As for Campbell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 138th, while Harrison is ranked 39th).
Several Spartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ajavius Joyner, who picked up 91 receiving yards and one score, and also punched in one TD on the ground.
Harrison and Campbell will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Hoyas see the field they'll take on McEachern at 7:30 p.m. on October 3. As for Campbell, their break will end when they face South Cobb at 7:30 p.m. on October 3.
